The San Francisco Giants and Tom Murphy have reached an agreement of 2 million dollars, according to The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal.
Murphy’s agreement includes a club option of four million dollars for three years with a buyout of $250,000.
The catcher spent last four seasons with the Seatlle Mariners where he hit 8 HR and 17 RBI during 47 games of last season.
This is second time that Murphy is part of the San Francisco Giants organization. The first time he was claimed from the waivers of the Colorado Rockies in 2019 (this happened four days after he was traded to the Seattle Mariners).

With his arrival, the Giants will have two truthful catchers behind the plate with the starter expected to be is Patrick Bailey.
It has been a couple weeks busy for the San Francisco Giants, because last week they signed the korean superstar (Jung Hoo Lee) and their are looking for a japanese pitcher (Yoshinobu Yamamoto).
