Several teams have been calling the Tampa Bay Rays to ask for the availability of the Mexican player in the exchange market, according to ESPN.
With an expected increase of $9 millions in Arozarena’s salary for 2024, the time where the Rays are used to trade their best players is close. The Tampa Bay Rays have an estimate of $125 millions for the 2024 season and they are looking to cut some players and staff in order to adjust a few things.

The financial record for the team was in 2022 with a salary cap of $84 millions and last year they had $73 millions.
With free agency market being empty of solid batters, the Tampa Bay Rays could look to trade Randy Arozarena, despite being eligible for arbitration until 2026.
Arozarena won the MLB Rookie of the Year 2021, was selected as the MVP of the ALCS 2020 and last year he was called to his first ever All-Star Game where he arrived to the final of the HR Derby.
In 2023 season, he had a batting average of .254 with: 23 HR, 89 RBI, 22 SB, 80 BB and .789 OPS in 151 games.
Multiple teams have expressed interest in Randy Arozarena services to adquire him for an exchange.
In addition to this, the Rays are also looking to trade Tyler Glasnow, Brandon Lowe and Manuel Margot so their salary cap can return to normal.
Randy Arozarena can become a great option for the teams that need an outfielder and can’t sign Bellinger or Soto.
