The Atlanta Braves announced this Sunday that the outfielder and the National League’s MVP, Ronald Acuña JR, will miss the rest of the season after an MRI that result into a torn ACL on the left knee.
Ronald Acuña JR suffered the injury during Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. There’s isn’t a date yet for its surgery, but it should be very soon.

Even though, Ronald Acuña JR said that the pain was decreasing and wasn’t as serious as the one he suffered in 2021 in Miami, tests have shown the opposite and the player will have to follow the same painful process like he did in 2021.

It is expected that the Atlanta Braves will use Adam Duvall in the right outfield to replace Acuña. Michael Harris II is solid at the central outfield and Jarred Kelenic has been constant in the left side. Or, maybe Atlanta Braves can look after an outfielder during the free agency .
