The cuban player, Jose Abreu, made his debut in the 2024 season after spending time in the minor leagues to recover his best figure.
He returned this past Monday when the Houston Astros faced the Seattle Mariners. “Abreu started as the seventh batter and first baseman. In his second at-bat of the night, he drove in a single with an exit velocity of 102 miles per hour, signaling improvements in his batting.”

Even though that was his only hit of the night, he said that is feeling better and his is ready to play every single day as he is used to.
Will Abreu return to play every single day?
The Houston Astros ‘s manager, Joe Espada, didn’t confirmed any movement and he highlighted the fact that nobody has his position secured at first base. He wants to see results before he makes a decision.
At this moment, Abreu and Singleton will continue to rotate at first base according to the pitcher they are going to face.
