This Tuesday, the Boston Red Sox beat the Tampa Bay Rays 5-2 with a great performance of Jarren Duran. The mexican player homered and stole home in the same game. This was the first series won by the Boston Red Sox in Tropicana Field since 2019.
During the top of the sixth inning, Duran had a solid hit to tie the game to two runs.
At the top of the eight inning with two men on bases and two outs, a double steal came from Devers and Duran to increase the advantage. Duran went from third to home after Rays catcher Ben Rortvedt tried to put Devers out on the second base. The Mexican player took the opportunity to go to the plate and they were unable to get him out.

After the game, Duran stated: “Stealing home to give us one more run will always be wonderful.
Alex Cora stated that Duran’s style fits the new rules of baseball: “With the new rules, he is the perfect player for our system. He can run and he can also hit it out of the park. He’s also a great defender.
For his part, Devers ended his record of six straight games with a home run after failing to hit a homer tonight. The record for most consecutive games with a home run belongs to Ken Griffey Jr., Don Mattingly and Dale Long with eight consecutive games with a HR.
The Tampa Bay Rays will be looking for their first win of the series this week; while the Red Sox will try to sweep them.
