Randy Arozarena finally got his first hit of the 2024 Spring Training, which provoked a particular reaction from him after so many days of struggling
Arozarena’s first hit in the 2024 Spring Training came in the Dominican Republic, during the two-game series between the Tampa Bay Rays and the Boston Red Sox at Juan Marichal Stadium, located in Santo Domingo, the capital of the country.
Randy Arozarena had gone 17 at-bats without a hit in Spring Training with most of his offensive statistics at zero.
It was in the top of the first inning when Arozarena connected a hit to left field against the pitches of pitcher Garrett Whitloc. When the Cuban saw the ball hit towards the hands of outfielder Masataka Yoshida, he raised a finger with a glance to his team’s dugout and then made a small jump of happiness.
