The right-handed pitcher from the Miwaukee Brewers, Corbin Burnes, expects to try free agency in 2024.
“A couple of years ago I was open to go and get something done, but in this point both sides know that I´m one year away to test free agency and we like to see what the market can offer”, Burnes told ´Foul Territory” this Friday.

Burnes also mentioned that he and the Brewers haven’t had conversations about a possible contract extension.
The Winner of the 2021 National League Cy Young, comes from a great season where he had an ERA of 3.39, 200 strikeouts in 193 and 2.3 innings; but also a winning record of 10-3.
The Brewers’ GM, Matt Arnold, said in October that he expects that Burnes returns to the team for the 2024 season.
However, Burnes declared last february that his relationship with the team broke after feeling attacked in an arbitration.
Throughout his career, Burnes has an effective ERA of 2.86 and is a solid pitcher since he arrived to the MLB.
