The Pittsburgh Pirates will bring back the DH Andrew McCutchen with an agreement of 5 million dollars for one year without a monetary difference in comparison to the last agreement before the 2023 season; sources told Jason Mackey from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
McCutchen was part of the Pirates from 2009 to 2017 (year where he was traded to the San Francisco Giants). After the Giants he was traded to the New York Yankees and then signed by the Philadelphia Phillies in free agency where he played from 2019 to 2021. Finally he played a season with the Milwaukee Brewers before returning to the Pirates in 2023.

Andrew McCutchen in chase for a new record in 2024 season
Andrew McCutchen is one HR away to make history and arrive to its 300th HR. During the 2023 season, he reached the 2000 hits in his career and now he is looking to add a new record to his legendary career.
Last season, McCutchen had 12 HR and 43 RBI with an OPS of .776 in 113 games before being absent the rest of the season because of an injury in the achilles tendon.
