The ‘Titán´ appeared in the list of possible members, 5 years after his retirement in 2018. So the best position player in mexican baseball history has a shot to enter into Cooperstown.
Adrián González has been named 5 times into the All-Star game, 4 times winner of the Golden Glove and 2 times winner of the silver bat.
In 2010, he had his best season in his career and was nominated for the MVP (where he ended in fourth place). In that season he had: 31 HR, 101 R and .904 OPS.
In his MLB career, Adrián González has this numbers: .287 batting average, .843 OPS, .485 slugging, 1202 RBI, 317 HR and 2050 H.
In his 15 seasons in the MLB, he played for: Texas Rangers, San Diego Padres, Boston Red Sox, Toronto Blue Jays, Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Mets.
The results of this contest will be announced on January.23th,2024 by the Hall of Fame at MLB.tv. The candidates requiere a minimum of 75% of the votes of the Baseball America Writers Association (BBWAA).
The ceremony of the Hall of Fame will be on Sunday, July.21st, 2024.
