This season has been a dream for Chris Carter. Almost a month ago, he was been recognized as the MVP of the championship game and he was winning the title with Pericos.
The numbers of Carter in the season were fenomenal: 54 games, .308 AVG and 21 HR.

However the season for Carter started as a nightmare. He began the season with Acereros de Monclova, where he only played 9 games and then we was traded to Puebla.
This trade was crucial to return at his best level, because before that movement he had terrible numbers with Monclova. He had a batting average below .200, 1 HR and 4 RBI.
With Pericos de Puebla we return to see the Carter we were used to, when he was at the MLB where he played for teams like: Oakland Athletics, New York Yankees, Milwaukee Brewers and Houston Astros.
Carter’s experience was not only important on the field, but also in the locker room. When Puebla lose the first series of the postseason and they qualified as the best loser, the mentality of the team changed and become a crucial factor in the development of the team. Carter had to do a lot with that because at the end of the series against the Diablos Rojos del México, he mentioned in an interview that they were never worried about not being the favorite in any of their series and that they just focused in theirselves.
Carter competed for the award against José Miguel Piña y Alejandro Soto (Águila de Veracruz), Isaac Jiménez (Generales de Durango) y Andrés Ivan Meza (Mariachis de Jalisco).
