En la mañana del sábado 29 de agosto, se informó que el ex-jugador de la NBA, Cliff Robinson falleció a causa de una hemorragia cerebral en su domicilio junto a su familia.
Según fuentes, hace una seman Cliff Robinson sufrió un derrame cerebral lo que poco a poco fue acabando con su vida. Robinson tiene un hijo el cual juega baloncesto universitario también.

A lo largo de su carrera, Cliff Robinson promedió 14,2 puntos y 4,6 rebotes, durante 8 temporadas con los Portland Trail Blazers, con Phoenix Suns, Nets, Detroit Pistons y Golden State Warriors.
Cliff Robinson se retiró de la NBA en 2007, con 40 años, tras una extensa trayectoria, además, una vez All-Star y en dos ocasiones fue elegido en el segundo mejor quinteto defensivo de la NBA, en 2000 y 2002, así como también fue mejor sexto hombre en el año 1998.
