After a great rookie season in 2022, González had a decrease in his performance with only 2 HR, 12 RBI, 15 R, 37 H in 180. This bad numbers cause him to be relegated to Triple A.

Compared to his numbers in MLB, he had an outstanding performance during his time in the minor leagues. In 2023, he had 13 HR, 64 RBI, 96 H, 23 doubles, 4 triples, 19 BB and 93 K in 362 AB.

During the 2022 divisional round between the Yankees and the Guardians, Óscar González had a walk-off with a hit to the right field and to put his team in advantage in the series.
Also, he is known for being the player that scored a walk-off HR in the 2022 wildcard game to eliminate the Tampa Bay Rays and advance to the divisional round.
