The New York Yankees have placed Clarke Schmidt in the 15-day injured-list after the starting pitcher suffered a strain in his right arm. In his place, Cody Morris was promoted from the Triple-A.

With Clarke Schmidt´s help, the New York Yankees have the best ERA in the majors with 2.76 at the beginning of the season. They have achieved this without the best pitcher in the roster (Gerrit Cole) which hasn’t played this season because of an elbow injury.
