The right-handed pitcher of the Toronto Blue Jays, Alex Manoah, was forced to exit yersterday’s game against the Chicago White Sox in the second inning due to an elbow injury.
After the game, the manager of the Toronto Blue Jays (John Schneider) said that Manoah will have an MRI this Thursday to evaluate his condition.
Manoah’s speech:
“I felt a lot of pain. In that moment I started to think: Do I keep pushing through this and maybe make it worse, or do I just hand the ball over to someone else?”
Manoah began to show signs of pain after a sinker thrown against Dominic Fletcher. Afterwards, he left the game and Trevor Richards was his replacement.
Alek Manoah had a record of 1-2 in the beginning of the season with: 3.70 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 26 K in 24 1/3 innings.
The 26-year old player lose time at the beginning of the regular season due to a shoulder injury and he had 5 starts at the Minor League before returning to MLB.
