The Los Angeles Dodgers and the veteran player reached an agreement for a contract extension for 2 years and 24 million dollars, the team announced this Thursday. The agreement also includes an option of ten million dollars for 2026.

Max Muncy has experience with the franchise, where he has been playing for  the last six years.

Max Muncy was under contract until the 2024 season with an option of 14 million dollars, but the Dodgers make sure their player will stay for the next 2 years.

Muncy joined Mookie Betts (107), J.D. Martínez (103) and Freddie Freeman (102) as the first quartet of pitchers in Dodgers history with more than 100 RBI in a single season.

He had an outstanding season where he had 6 HR, 124 H, 26 doubles and 262 total bases. Unfortunately, he suffered an elbow injury in the ending of the season.

Also he is finalist for the silver bat where he is competing with Nolan Arenado, Austin Riley and Manny Machado.

In his six seasons with the Dodger, Muncy has an OPS of .842 with 175 HR and 472 RBI in 751 games.
