In 2016, Villar was the stolen base leader with 62, and he was on pace to play on his first MLB All-Star Game with Milwaukee Brewers. Nevertheless, Villar was traded for Jonathan Schoop the next year.
This would be the fifth MLB team where Villar plays for. He's played for the Houston Astros, Milwaukee Brewers, Baltimore Orioles, Miami Marlins, and now, the Toronto Blue Jays.
