Even when they felt short to get into the MLB Postseason, the San Francisco Giants could be counting on Donovan Solano for the next season and beyond. Donnie Barrels just won the Silver Slugger Award for his incredible performance during this short season.

The Giants are in rebuilding mode, yes. That doesn’t mean they have discovered a few talents in the process. One of them is Donovan Solano, a second baseman for the Giants who just won the Silver Slugger Award this year.

Donnie was one of the most outstanding players in the NL West, with 62 hits and a .326 BA in the MLB Season.

The San Francisco Giants were on pace to make their first Postseason appearance since 2016, but felt short against the mighty San Diego Padres. Now, the Giants know that Solano is the man they need for the future, alongside Mike Yastzremski and Mauricio Dubon while they wait for Heliot Ramos, Hunter Bishop and others to make their respective MLB debut.

Congrats, Donnie!
