The center fielder of the Mariachis de Guadalajara had a wonderful season. He impacted the league with his speed and effectiveness.
His numbers were a batting average of .322, 5 HR, 26 RBI and 26 stolen bases.
His numbers were too good that Benjamín Gil called him to be part of the national team that played in the Centroamerican Games, where he gained a gold medal and afterwards now he is representing Mexico in the Panamerican Games.
Let’s remb¿ember that Mariachis is a new team on the league, that has only 2 years since it was founded. This was the first time in the history of the team, that they have a young player selected to win the award.
Just five fielders have won this award in the last 17 years, being the last one Erick Migueles in 2019 with Tigres, Quintana Roo.
Randy is a young player that has a lot of potential that has already experience in the Minor Leagues of Baseball with the Pittsburgh Pirates
He made his debut in the Mexican Baseball League in 2022.
