Larry Walker, inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2020, had a stellar 17-season career, amassing a total of 2,160 hits. Meanwhile, Billy Hamilton, a Hall of Famer since 1961, was renowned for his speed, accumulating 914 stolen bases over his career. His ability to impact the game both at the plate and on the bases made him a baseball legend.

Surpassing these two iconic players places Altuve among an elite group who have made an indelible mark on the sport. This milestone not only celebrates his longevity and durability but also his ability to perform at the highest level over an extended period.

At 34 years old, José Altuve still has several seasons ahead to continue climbing the ranks of the all-time greatest hitters. His dedication to the game and work ethic suggest he will remain a central figure for the Astros and a role model for future generations of players.
