The American League has designated the standout pitcher from the Baltimore Orioles, Corbin Burnes, as the team’s starter for the All-Star Game set to take place this Tuesday at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.

In a video posted by Pedro Martinez on social media, the Baltimore Orioles announced that Burnes, a four-time All-Star selection, would be making his first start in the All-Star Game.

This season, Burnes boasts an ERA of 2.43 with 110 strikeouts in 118 and 2/3 innings pitched, alongside a WHIP of 1.04. At the end of this campaign, he will become a free agent.
In 19 starts, Burnes has proven himself a reliable pitcher for the Baltimore Orioles, playing a pivotal role in leading the team to the top of the American League East Division.
On the National League side, the starter will be Paul Skenes, who is having a strong season with the Pittsburgh Pirates.
