After a bad season so far, the Washington Nationals are opened to trading their players before the July 30 trade deadline, according to reports from Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.
Among the players the Nationals will listen to offers for are free agents Jesse Winker and Dylan Floro, outfielder Lane Thomas, and relievers Hunter Harvey and Kyle Finnegan.
Jesse Winker signed a minor league contract with the Nationals last February after a downturn in performance over the past two seasons. However, he has bounced back strongly in 2024 with an .818 OPS, 10 home runs, 41 RBIs, and 12 stolen bases in 88 games.
Dylan Floro is having the best season of his career with a 2.06 ERA, and several teams are interested in acquiring his services.
The Washington Nationals have not reached the playoffs since winning the World Series in 2019. Since then, the team has been in a rebuilding phase, and with a 0.8% chance, it is highly unlikely they will make the postseason this year.
