After his contract expired on November 3th,2023, Craig Counsell has had a busy day where he has been interviewed by the New York Mets and the Cleveland Guardians. Nevertheless, he declares being open to an offer that the Milwaukee Brewers can propose.
Despite ending his contract with the Brewers, Craig Counsell says that there is still a chance to return if the team equals the salary price that other teams are offering to him; according to Curt Hogg from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Counsell looks for a contract that doubles the salary he received in the 2023 salary of $3 million.
The Cleveland Guardians are offerring a quantity of $ 7 million (2 millions more compared to Terry Francona’s last season with the team)
The New York mets contacted him because his previous boss (David Stearns) is now the operations president of the team.

Is hoped that other franchises like the San Diego Padres and the Houston Astros will interview him.
