This October 18th, 2023, the MLB has published the list of nominees for the Golden Glove; where four mexicans have presence.
The first of them is Alejandro Kirk. The catcher of the Toronto Blue Jays had a wonderful season despite of missing a couple of games, due to an injury he had in his left hand.
Kirk had awesome numbers (372 AB, 93 H, 8 HR, 43 RBI, 250 AVG). He now is competing with Jonah Heim (Texas Rangers) and Adley Rutschman (Baltimore Orioles).

Next on the list is the fielder of the Boston Red Sox, Alex Verdugo. At the beginning of the season he had problems with the manager of the team (Alex Cora) that make him be sidelined in a couple of games. However, after that event all where good news for the mexican where it had a good batting average of .264 and his rivals for the prize are Adolis García (Texas Rangers) and Kyle Tucker (Houston Astros).

Now is the turn of Alek Thomas. The fielder of the Arizona Diamondbacks is fighting for the title of National League and a spot in the World Series. With a good tournament in the World Baseball Classic and the season he has had, is clear that he is at the climax of his career. His contraries for the Golden Glove are Brenton Doyle (Colorado Rockies) and Michael Harris II (Atlanta Braves)

Finally, we have Taijuan Walker. Perhaps is has not been a good postseason for him, because he hasn’t been considered a lot. But we have to remember that this award only includes what you did in the regular season, and there is where the pitcher of the Phillies crushed it with a record of 15-6 and an ERA of 4.38. He is competing with his teammate (Zach Wheeler) and Jesús Luzardo (Miami Marlins).

The last mexican player to win the Golden Glove was Ramón Urías in 2022, he was recognized for being the best third baseman of the American League.
